The web series Mirzapur has become a big hit with viewers across India. Actor Pankaj Tripathi, who plays Kaleen Bhaiya, says the show became popular because its characters and stories feel real.
The series has appeared nine times on IMDb’s list of the Top 10 Most Popular Indian Series, according to reports.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Pankaj Tripathi said that the show is set in one part of India, but people everywhere can understand its story.
He believes that feelings like love, family problems and the wish to do well in life are common to people from many places.
Pankaj also said that a successful character is the result of teamwork. He thanked the actors, writers, directors and other people who helped make the show.
Ali Fazal Also Shares His Views
Ali Fazal, who plays Guddu Pandit, said that the show’s story and characters helped it connect with viewers, even though it has many violent scenes.
According to Variety, Mirzapur has appeared on IMDb’s popular Indian series list nine times. Another show, Scam 1992, has appeared on the list five times.
Mirzapur Also Comes to the Big Screen
Several actors from the series, including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyendu Sharma, have also been part of Mirzapur: The Movie.
According to Sacnilk, the film earned around ₹339.83 crore worldwide.
The success of Mirzapur shows that when a story feels real and its characters connect with people, viewers from many places can enjoy it.
