Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has asked people to join a march at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on November 1. The march is against alleged problems in voter lists.
In a message on X, Rahul Gandhi said people should come forward to protect democracy and the Indian Constitution. He also said they should not be afraid of police action.
Students and Citizens Invited
Rahul Gandhi said the march is for the country, not just one political party. He has also invited students and people who want to protect their rights.
Congress has raised concerns about the checking of voter lists. These claims are part of the party’s protest.
Delhi Police Make Security Plans
Delhi Police are preparing for the rally. Around 3,000 police officers may be deployed near the ground, and CCTV cameras will help watch the area.
Police expect around 40,000 to 50,000 people to attend the march. Parking is planned near Rajghat and Mata Sundari College.
The protest is linked to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. The issue has led to a political debate about fair elections and voters’ rights.
